Sexual Abuse how you have robbed me
You stole my innocence and life, the way God intended it to be
You kept me in a chain with sins and behaviors I couldn’t refrain
You took over my mind
Depression,, shame and fear were the mountains I daily climbed
Sexual Abuse the robber of innocence and life
Many a night I cried myself to sleep, because the wounds of abuse were so deep
You stole me of my value, you stole me of my place
My hopes and dreams you did erase
You kept me in bondage tied to my past
My thoughts and future you daily harassed
Sexual Abuse the robber of innocence and life
But no longer will you rob me of my life as it should be
For my Savior and Lord died to set me free
The crying, the praying, the journaling and the classes I took
God used them to enable me to get unhooked
For there is work to be done and an abundant life to live
I choose to receive the gifts my Savior gives
The gifts of freedom, joy and peace
His healing love I now receive with ease
I choose to do the work on this journey of grace that takes me to my Savior’s beautiful face
I can see His eyes full of love for me and I hear Him saying “sexual abuse will no longer rob you of who I created you to be, You are free to live the abundant life I have for you and sexual abuse will no longer rule because sexual abuse is now your tool”.
Indeed I am free, I am free Indeed.
